Mordialloc Neighbourhood House is available for business meetings, conferences and social gatherings. Facilities include a meeting room with a seating capacity of 25 include a kitchen and 5 computers, a meeting room with a seating capacity of 20, a computer room with a seating capacity of 11.
The meeting rooms can be booked on an hourly basis. Times and availability are negotiable. Please make an appointment to visit the Centre should you wish to view any of the rooms.
- Community groups: $20 per hour
- Commercial or private use: $50 per hour
All monies must be paid in full no less than 7 days prior to the commencement of any hire, including the balance of hiring fees and only then will access to the Centre be provided.
Booking changes and cancellations must be notified in writing at least fourteen days prior to date of hire. Should the required notice not be given the agreed hiring fee shall be payable.
Penalty rate applies per hour or part thereof beyond agreed booking time stated on hire agreement.
Public liability insurance
It is the Hirer’s responsibility to ensure that public liability insurance is taken out. If the hirer has their own public liability insurance, a copy of the current insurance must be forwarded to the Neighbourhood House when the balance of payment is due.
Alternatively, the public liability insurance can be arranged through Mordialloc Neighbourhood House for a fee if you don’t have your own public liability insurance. Mordialloc Neighbourhood House shall not be liable for damage to and loss of equipment belonging to users whilst in use or left behind at the Centre.
Keys should be collected at least 1 working day prior to function during Office hours and must be returned to the Centre staff on the next working day.
Limited on-site parking available on Main Street or the rear of the building. Parking restrictions apply around the Centre.
At the completion of the organization’s activity/function all floors must be swept, mopped if appropriate, tables, chairs and other furniture placed in their original positions and all areas including toilets, left in a clean and tidy state. The Hirer will ensure that any breakages of glass or spillage of food or drink are cleaned up immediately. The Hirer agrees to reimburse the Centre any costs incurred in repairing, cleaning or replacing any part of the premises, fixtures, fittings or equipment damaged by the Hirer.
Where the Hirer does not comply with these conditions to the satisfaction of the Neighbourhood House, future eligibility for use of the facility may be affected. Where cleaning of the venue is not to the Neighbourhood House’s satisfaction or any damage has resulted from the activities, the Hirer will become liable for any additional costs.
